Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: ראש השנה), (literally "head of the year"), is the Jewish New Year. It is the first of the High Holidays or Yamim Noraim ("Days of Awe"), celebrated ten days before Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah is observed on the first two days of Tishrei, the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar. It is described in the Torah as יום תרועה (Yom Teru'ah, a day of sounding ).

Kol Nidrei (Evening Yom Kippur Service)

Beginning Tuesday night, we observe Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement (Vayikra 16; 23:26-32). A few things to note: First, the attire for Yom Kippur is formal as we stand in awe and reverence of our great King. It is very appropriate to wear an article of clothing that is white. Second, because of the holiness of the day, the Kol Nidrei Service (Evening Yom Kippur Service) is the only evening prayer service during the year when it is appropriate…

Yom Kippur Services (Followed by Break-Fast)

Beginning Tuesday night, we observe Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement (Vayikra 16; 23:26-32). Our services will be held Tuesday at 6:30pm and Wednesday Morning at 10am. Our Yom Kippur observance will continue throughout the day on Wednesday, concluding with the Break-Fast at night. Please remember to bring food for the Break-Fast on Wednesday night.
