Dorot Fall classes will run for 12 weeks, August 26 - December 23. The class is open to 11 and 12 year old children of Vision Bearers and will take place on Saturdays following services from 1 to 2 pm. We will be using the Jewish History, Vol. 2.
​In this class that will meet weekly for 1.5 hrs. we will build a strong foundation for siddur study with a unique, lively combination of prayer materials, activities, and stories. The course builds knowledge progressively, beginning with the simplest and most common grammatical structures.
This 12 week course taught by Rabbi Seth Klayman is based on the third (3) book in the series: New Siddur Program for Hebrew and Heritage. The will meet Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30 pm at Sha'arei.
The class is for anyone who has completed Book 2 of the Sha’arei Shalom Hebrew Program or by permission of the instructor, Rabbi Seth Klayman.
The Fall Hebrew Blast Off class will be a two-day event. The class will be held Saturday, September 9th after services from 2-5 pm and Sunday, September 10th, 2-5 pm. Books will be provided. Hebrew Blast Off class is a prerequisite for all other Hebrew courses and Vision Bearer membership.
​The course is required for all non-members who desire to become members, or are considering membership. Please note that you must regularly attend Sha’arei Shalom for a minimum of six months prior to the date of the first class (April 14th). One full year of attendance prior to the date of Class 1 is recommended. You must also plan to take the introductory Hebrew course—Hebrew Blast-Off.
